Beginnings of supply chain

Filip spent the first days of the war in the warehouse in Warsaw. He was sorting through the massive amounts of donated stuff. His next mission was to drive refugees to accommodations across Poland. He did this using his car and resources for a few days. When he decided to come to Medyka he was caught completely off guard, as we all were. He brought two pairs of thin sweatpants and a light jacket. So when the sub-zero temperatures came, he had to deal with the cold as he was exclusively working outdoors.

The first two weeks in Medyka he was sleeping in the back of a food trailer, in tents with the refugees, but usually not at all.

He became responsible for the growth of the Camp and managing all the NGOs alongside Nicolas, creating the necessery infrastructure and providing all the essential resources needed to make the Camp functional.

When some support started to appear and we had access to vehicles he started managing everything related to the supply chain. Storage spaces were rented, a network of suppliers was established and trusted contacts in East Ukraine were checked for us to work with.

Collaboration and creating the supply chain is Filip’s main focus and what he does best.
